I wrote this comic based off of childhood experiences. I really really really wanted to play hockey. My brother played hockey, I even had some girlfriends that played hockey and I was devastated because I was being told that I couldn’t play because I was a girl. Now that I’m older and have realized if I stopped dancing my life would be in a whole different place right now. I chose to do a comic because I found this the most effective way for me to view unfamiliar topics. I also chose to keep the number of characters down to just two so there wouldn’t be any confusion! I always find pictures and dialogue help me when I don’t understand a situation.
